Asaja de Castilla y León will celebrate its X Regional Congress on Friday, September 17, in the city of Zamora. The current president, Donaciano Dujo, has communicated to the Board of Directors his intention to stand for reelection.
The congress, which the Board of Directors decided to postpone a year ago until the Covid sanitary control measures allowed it to be held in person, will be attended by 200 delegates from the nine provinces of the region , and will be closed by the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development , Jesús Julio Carnero, and by the national president of Asaja, Pedro Barato.
The current president of Castilla y León, Donaciano Dujo, has communicated to the Board of Directors, held today in Valladolid, his intention to stand for re-election, a decision made after consulting with the nine provincial presidents and all of them having expressed their support .
Donaciano Dujo will count again in his candidacy with José Antonio Turrado in the position of secretary general, and together with the nine provincial presidents? Joaquín Antonio Pino, Esteban Martínez, Arsenio García, Honorato Meneses, Juan Luis Delgado, Guzmán Bayón, Carmelo Gómez , Juan Ramón Alonso, and Antonio Medina- will form the Executive Committee, which will have the maximum responsibility of managing the largest professional agricultural organization in the coming years.
The Congress, the tenth since the constitution of ASAJA de Castilla y León, will be held in the capital of Zamora, following the provincial rotational criteria established from the beginning. It will have a clear vindictive character and position of the organization in favor of the professional agriculture and livestock model, a model that it defends as an absolute priority in the next CAP.
On the Strategic Plan that will mark the next European agricultural policy, Fernando Miranda, Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture, and Pedro Medina, Director General of the Ministry’s PAC will speak, among others. There will also be a space in the Plenary for the speeches of the nine presidents of the nine provincial organizations, who will expose the different problems and sectoral demands of the professionals of agriculture and livestock in the Autonomous Community.
